SulphaMax and Garlic is a summer supplement for cattle. It supplies the sulphur stock need to get full value out of protein and green feed, and it carries garlic for the reason producers have been putting garlic in front of cattle for generations.
Why sulphur matters
Sulphur is a building block of the amino acids that make protein. It also plays a key role in rumen function, which is what turns feed into liveweight.
Get the nitrogen to sulphur ratio right and cattle convert what they eat into gain. Get it wrong and some of that feed will be underutilised. Sulphur also supports skin and hide condition, which shows up in how stock look and how they handle the heat, and potentially, threats from insects, such as buffalo fly and tick.
About the garlic
Garlic and sulphur licks have been run through the summer in Queensland cattle country for years. Producers keep coming back for them through the warmer months, and the feedback we get from these producers is positive.
We make no claims about controlling flies or ticks. What we will say is that SulphaMax and Garlic is a straightforward nutritional lick that plenty of producers have been using for years to help manage buffalo fly and ticks.
Available in: 20kg bag dry lick, or 18kg block. Both made to go out in the paddock and stay there.
Feeding: Offer free choice near water. Keep the supply consistent through the summer rather than starting and stopping.
